POSITION SUMMARY:
The production assembler position supports the corporate mission by being responsible and committed to provide the highest quality, most comprehensive first aid and emergency preparedness products to the public for an affordable price. Assemblers transform raw product into custom or standard finished packages by placing a variety of products into plastic and metal containers, dispenser boxes or soft bags.
Assemblers may work in a fixed position with consistency and accuracy being a primary focus. Work may be performed independently or in a team or on an assembly line where containers move past their workstations on a table or a conveyor belt.
Our client builds product to customer demand therefore full-time work is not always guaranteed but is most likely available.
PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Place various medical supplies into first aid cases or packs either in cell workstations or working from a conveyor belt.
- Set up of individual stations by reading a work order, pulling product and following build instructions.
- Operates various pieces of equipment including but not limited to; tape gun, label and shrink-wrap machines and sealers.
- Perform miscellaneous packaging tasks at a fast pace while performing quality checks on shrink wrap, placing finished product into cardboard cases, running cardboard cases through tape machine and palletizing finished product per quality control standards.
- Responsible for continual quality control on all production, stations by recognizing missing product, poor quality product (open, dirty, leakage, etc.) removing them from line.
- Ability to physically work in close proximity with a variety of products such as packaged tablets, gels, latex, plastics, hand sanitizer, bandages and more.
- Application of labels to first aid kits and cases.
- Must adhere to all company safety programs and policies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic computer skills to enter and understand data.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- Ability to multi-task
- Open verbal and written communication
- Treat all employees with courtesy and respect.
- Willingness and thirst to learn new skills.
- Ability to work 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday thru Friday
- Ability to follow training instructions.
- Ability to rotate through multiple workstations and cells while maintaining high productivity output.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing 100% of the time is required.
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, see, and hear.
- Frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds; Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. at a time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- All work is in an environmentally controlled warehouse environment. However, temperatures will adjust with the seasons.
- Requires employees to physically work in close proximity with a variety of products such as packaged tablets, gels, latex, plastics, hand sanitizer, bandages and more.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 1-2 years’ experience in production line assembly or cellular assembly work.
Must pass background clear of any felonies and a UA, THC excluded.
